This is a 1 day course 4.5 hours We cover the following • Grip – two hands on grip (both hands on pistol) • Stance – A modified weaver waist down to isosceles upper body • Balance – demonstrated various ways to meet individual build • Gun safety, loading and unloading pistols properly and clearing jams. You will need to bring with you: • Two magazine pouches • Side holster • 350 Rounds of ammunition.

This is a 2 day Advance course 4.5 hours each day We cover the following Day 1 • Grip – two hands on grip (both hands on pistol) • Stance – A modified weaver waist down to isosceles upper body • Balance – demonstrated various ways to meet individual build • Gun safety, loading and unloading pistols properly and clearing jams. Once you have joined a Shooting club, you may decide to become a dedicated shooter or an occasional shooter or merely own a firearm to self-defense. Once a shooter has obtained dedicated status, he/she is allowed to apply for a semi auto rifle or - shotgun under section 16 of the Firearms Controls Act, for the purpose of a dedicated hunter or dedicated sportsman. An occasional shooter may only apply for manually operated rifle or shotgun under section 15 of the Firearms Control Act, but may also apply for a second semi auto handgun. Shukokai Sport Shooting Club is registered and affiliated with WCSSF (Western Cape Sport Shooting Federation) and SAPSA (South African Practical Shooting Association). In order to request a dedicated sportsman letter and endorsement for letters for specific firearm licence applications, prospective members must affiliate with WCSSF and SAPSA, to use firearms for the IPSC shooting discipline. Prospective members will have to comply in obtaining 6 points in terms of the relevant criteria for dedicated status. To become a member of Shukokai Sport Shooting Club member, you simply complete an application form, which is available at the counter of AJ Running Guns and contact the Club Secretary at shaheed.Isaacs@capetown.gov.za , for joining procedure and membership fees applicable for the current year. . Shukokai Sport Shooting Club Benefits • Acceptance / motivational letter in support firearm application • Training on safe firearm handling and shooting range procedures • No visiting range fee for members • Allowed to shoot level 1 Club competition • Training as a range officer after 1 year membership • Not needing a firearm license to join the Club • Clearance testing to shoot provincial competition AJ Running Guns have more than 4 different firearms, including manually and semi auto rifles and shotguns to test and play with to acquire proficiency in handling the specific firearm. AJ Running Guns offer proficiency training every Tuesday and Thursday at Shukokai outdoor range.
